Kym Moore
KYM MOORE is Co-Founder of the AntiGravity Theatre Project and Associate Professor of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies at Brown University in Providence, RI. Kym’s interests in Theatre and Performance span multiple genres and styles. Her work as a director has been described as “visually compelling,” “daring,” and very much “alive.” Current projects include Time’s Up! (in Residence at Yale University/Digital Media and Collaborative Arts Lab); Verses at Work (in Residence at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center); and Hoodoo Love by Katori Hall (Julliard Rep 2018). Her latest work with AntiGravity, Time’s Up! will also develop at The Center for Digital Media and Collaborative Arts at Yale University, The Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, UCLA, California State Long Beach, and the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles
She is the recipient of a Pen and Brush Inc. award for her play, The Date. Recent Brown University theatre credits include: By The Way, Meet Vera Stark, Hype Hero, Passing Strange, Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, and Pippin, recognized by BroadwayWorld.com as one of the most “whacky and innovative” interpretations of that musical worldwide. Kym is an associate member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, the Lincoln Center Theater Director’s Lab, and the National Theatre Conference. She has taught acting and directing at numerous institutions, including Notre Dame University, Dartmouth College, Hampshire College, University of Oklahoma, and Rhode Island School of Design.
